Now yall have seen me talk about how Cassidy is my top rapper (I have 6 top rappers but Cassidy is numero uno) But he is NOT my favorite artist! Not by any means. That distinguished title goes no other than Ms. LAURYN HILL a.k.a L-BOOGIE. This female right here is a big influence in me wanting to have a career in music. She is definitely one of the greatest females in the hip-hop/r&B game EVEN STILL TODAY! She put out her only album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" 12 years ago and most females in the game albums right now can't even hold a candle to her album....POINT BLANK! She was the reason why I decided to only want to be able to sing, but also spit on a record. Lauryn Hill was not just a person who was ok a singing and great at rapping, or wonderful singer and so-so at rapping, SHE WAS PHENOMENAL AT BOTH! The songs she wrote and performed with the fugees and by herself are ones that my little cousins (13 and under) love to listen to because they are just that good. She hit records are timeless songs that people will forever listen to. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, she was a actress in my favorite movie of all time "SISTER AT 2: BACK IN THE HABIT" If people doubted that she could sing before that movie, whelp they didn't doubt anymore! Over looking the drug abuse and allegations, I would be lucky to impact people the way she did!
