CONGRATS DSU CLASS OF 10!

     Yesterday was a very inspirational! I am so glad I went to this graduation! Well it rained again but, low and behold...WE WERE INSIDE!!! yes! They had three services and THE CHOIR AND BAND had to perform at all three! Great! But anyway after struggling to wake up at 7am for the 9am celebration, I was happy to have been there. The guest speaker, some high school principal (who has been on CNN, written two books, has two doctorate, and maybe light-skin on the outside but jet black on the inside LOL) had some amazing words to say to the class of 2010 that really spoke to me as well. He was saying how many of you all are here not only because of the encouraging words that people have said to you but also a lot has to do with the discouraging words people have said to you. All the ones who said you couldn't, you can't, stop trying, your never gonna do it, why even try...that added fuel to the flame to prove them wrong! and he is right! He was saying that he may not know a lot (says the man with TWO doctorates) but he does know one thing that holds true is that success if the BEST revenge! Actions speak a heck out a lot louder than words so to show the HATERS that you, despite all the trials and tribulations collage will give you, you sitting  here today getting ready to walk across this stage to get your degree is all the "I told you so" you need! He also said don't think because you have a college degree that your someone special now lol. He was like yes take your moment to be proud and be happy for yourself but don't get so happy to where you become full of yourself and loose site of why you got your degree in the first place. To help. And if not to help, just to make money, well then he felt sorry for you. Him having done all the things he has in his life still will never forget who he is and why he became college educated, to teach others and help someone. He was like now it is your duty to do as me to help and teach someone as someone(s) did you! 


       Maybe because I am not going to be A JUNIOR IN COLLEGE....WOW, that this speech spoke to me, or maybe because I heard it three times in a row, but what ever the case , that man gave me the boost I need to finish out my college career SUMMA CUM LAUDE!!! (and nothing less) even though I may have financial issues and what not, WITH THE LORD on my side and the perseverance and determination KNOWING I will walk across that stage, made the next two years look right BRIGHT! 

MAD TIRED!

Ok so I barely holding on to bit of energy I have now so tomorrow expect a FULL EXCLSIVE on my day today, I just didn't want to leave yall hangin today lol

Well its raining today, and I don't really have much to say! I'm looking for loan money to pay for summer classes, but the search isn't going well. I guess buying a car and equipment for my studio until I can get my school situated. My room mate came back today, it will be interesting to see how we get along. Today is the day I start turning my life around for the better. I said 2010 was the year of my betterment and thus far I have done nothing to make it so. But that all changes now, now I take the stand to make my life better and stop waiting on people to do it for me! My goals, dreams, and aspirations will only come true if I work hard and stay dedicated! I know can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, but in the Bible is says "faith without works is dead". I have the faith, but now its time to start putting in the work! I am a child of destiny, its time I start acting like one...

Well today at around 2:30am......my Droid Eris got a notice for a software upgrade! Yes I now have Android 2.1 OS on my Eris! So It would have been nice to get the HTC Droid Incredible, it would have cost me $549.99 THE HELL!!!! I think I will stick with my Eris and save me a MASSIVE amount of money.

Im so sad to report that legendary singer, actress and dancer Lena Horne died on Sunday(5/9/10) night at the New York. Lena Horne was most famous...(well to me) for her AMAZING SINGING! She sang out with such power, yet had such a soft, soothing voice. One of her most famous songs was "Stormy Weather" accompanied by just as renowned musician Duke Ellington! Its funny that I just recently sang the operatic version of "Stormy Weather" in a voice final I took this semester. Also, Lena Horne was the good which in the classic Afro-American film "The Wiz" that held cast members such Michael Jackson (R.I.P) and Dianna Ross. Ms. Horne was truly an asset to music today and personally music/vocal styling for me. Oh also I found out in researching her, she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated a very prestigious African-American sorority. So this is my R.I.P to you Lena and may be singing amongst the angels now!

I forgot yall! Remember I was sooooooooooo focused in getting the HTC Touch Pro 2!!! (look at previous post if you forgot) well he phone I got (for Christmas) was the Droid Eris! Even though I hate ALL TOUCH SCREEN!!! beggars cant be choosers!

 BUT!!!! I WILL BE UPGRADING THIS SUMMER (due to the fact the Eris is still running on the Android 1.5 OS when Android has put out the 2.1 OS) to THE DROID INCREDIBLE!!!
