Homecoming Step Show 09'

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Like seriously, I LOVED THE DSU STEP SHOW! First off let me say congrats to all, yes, ALL the Divine 9 who performed last night! I was so excited to see what everyone had been practicing for lie months on. So to start off, the ALPHAS KILLED IT!!! THEY STARTED OFF THE PERFORMANCE AT AN EXTREME HIGH! They ripped that jawn!!! AND THEN THE QUE'S CAME ON AND THREW IT DOWN TO!!!! Like I really didn't expect them to do that good because of last year their performance was TRAAAAAASH! But this year they really "HOPPED" their game up! Also the Zeta's killed it for the females! The AKA's were good but one of them fell off the stage! LoL but she got back on so it was all good! The ok performances were the Sigmas and SGRho's. The Kappas and the Iotas music kept messing up and guess what THE DELTAS PERFORMED! Yes not only did they make a guest appearance with the Que's BUT THEY ALSO HAD THEIR OWN STEP PART! Well they really didn't do that well but it doesn't really matter cause they are back! Who won? The Alphas and the Zetas. 2nd place were the Que's and AKA's! (at first they tried tot say the Que's got forth THE WHOLE GYM WENT INTO AN UP ROAR!!!!) but it was a mistake!

Homecoming Comedy Show 09'

one word....HILARIOUS!!! Oh em GEE!!! This comedy show was SO GREAT! First off, the dj they had as AMAZING....I do mean AMAZING!!! (he was from JERSEY by the way!!!) but anyway they host Spank was great to! He brought some good new talent and he was funny himself! One of his comedians was a white man! No DO NOT get it twisted! Dude was funny!!! He went in on the greeks and cops....WHAT!!! He was good, BUT KEVIN HART RIPPED THE NIGHT! He had me roll'in for DAAAAAAAAAAAYS! I can't say any of his jokes and I couldn't record them on the fact they said we can't (legal crap) but I did take maaaaaaaaaad pics!!!! Yeah I truly, truly, TRULY enjoyed myself! Oh yeah you know we had Blue Phi (Phi Beta Sigma) stroll'in during the dj playin music AND YOU ALSO HAD A QUE DOG (I think the only one in the particular event) come out hopp'in strong! The live band was AMAZING TO (even though the back up didn't get ANY justice) I JUST CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE STEP SHOW TOMORROW!!!

Homecoming Fashion Show 09'

Ok so this year the homecoming fashion show was delivered to us by none other than 1 ENTITY COUTURE!!!! yes! The underdogs! 1 Entity, formally known as Xpressions, in September won a catwalk battle between other DSU modeling group Limitless.

The first half, as you all read, WAS AMAZING!!!! The walking, the scenery, the models, THE FASHION was just great! It wasn't what I was expecting at all! The theme was like dead models walking the runway AND THEY DID FAB!!!! ALL OF THEM! Even the amateurs looked great! Some of the outfits were items I would really consider buying. I also liked how the models ranged in size. You had your skinny minnies, to your thickems, to your voluptuous full figured women. You had your FULL FLEDGED 12-PACK, to your very skinny, to your more to love brothers. WHITE and BLACK!!! The hosts were EXCELLENT!!! (shout out to Ms. T, Franchise, and some guy who didn't win working for diddy). The designers were even there to walk. Intermission was just as good. The live band was HOT! The singer & backup singers WERE GREAT! DSU Apollo winner Ravon was a WONDERFUL crowd pleaser!

My ONLY complaint about the show was the ending. I didn't think that was a good way to end the show with just doing a routine in your club t-shirts. Not at all! But anyway, over all I give it 9.5 out of 10! Can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds!

Wow!!! it here!!! DSU Homecoming 2009!!!! Today (the 21st) Starts off the week's BIG EVENTS!! We have the FASHION SHOW (1 ENTITY COTOURE) tonight, Comdey Show (Kevin Heart and his people) tomorrow, STEP SHOW FRIDAY AND HOMCOMING GAME (Us vs. Morgan State), CONCERT/PARTY SATURDAY!!!! Yeah we have Trey Songz, Fabolous, and Niki Minaj as the headliners for the concert and then we have DE local talent SHIZ NITTY! (he aint that hot) we also have local D.C go-go band TCB...(THEY GO HARD AND I DONT EVEN LIKE GO-GO)!!!! So stay tuned for more blogs from me because I WILL be giving an INSTANT blog feedback while at the events and after leaving them!!! OH YEAH this R.A job is gonna real this week OH BOY...LoL

So I got into a car accident today...I'm tired now so I'll write the details tomorrow

Car Trouble

Hey yall, PLEASE let me tell you about what just happened to me this night! So I took my two friends to the movies on a "date" (<--- thats a whole nother set of drama in itself) to go see Hangover. This was the second time I saw this movie but I still laughed just as hard as the first time. But not to worry, I didn't pay. But anyway I digress, so after the movie let out around 9:15pm, we decided to ride round for a few and then go get ice cream. So after we rode around for about 15-20min, we stopped at the ice cream joint to go get some ice cream. I park and turn off the car and we get out. After getting out I realize that the line was WAY to long to stand in so we decided to get back in the car and call it a night! So when I went to start up the car, NOTHING HAPPENED! I mean not even a lil spark of the engine. I mean completly dead silence. At this point I wanted to cry, but my young ones said just calm down and call your dad. Umm yeah...I was like I am not having him scream at me for this foolishness so I called my Nana. As luck would have it she was coming back from a day in AC and she was to far away to give me a jump. DRAT! So we started asking random people at the parlor if they had jumper cables. Out of about 10 people we asked, NOT ONE HAD CABLES! Now I don't know how many where telling the TRUTH but anyway, so finally call my Dad, and to my surprise he didn't get mad at all. He came to come and look at my car but HE didn't have jumper cables either!

So after some more calls, we called one of my Dad's friend who is a truck driver and THANK THE LORD he had cables! So the car got jumped and now I'm home. I do not want you all to think that I was out there for say maybe a good 10 minutes. I'd say we were waiting in the car for a good 45 minutes in total before I drove home. BUT LET ME TELL HOW MY LORD BLESSES ME! Not only was it a GORGEOUS NIGHT nice breeze and the moon shining bright, we were parked in a nice area where there were A LOT of people coming to get ice cream so it wasn't like we were deserted! AND as SOON AS WE GAVE MY CAR A JUMP AND IT STARTED, the ice cream shop was closing! I AM A TRUE BELIEVER IN THE MIRACLES JESUS PERFORMS! HE MAY NOT ALWAYS COME WHEN YOU WANT HIM, BUT THANK GOD HE IS ALWAYS THERE ON TIME!!!

Summer is Winding Down

NOO! Omgee! Where did this summer go? Well more specifically July. I have to say that this summer really wasn't a "turn around" summer for me. A lot of my goals I set for myself I didn't accomplish nor did I do all of the partying I planned on doing! What sucked even more is that I didn't practice my piano...AT ALL or create music as I planned as well. But I would not call this summer wasted...Not at all! I chilled with my besties. something I will only be able to do now when stratigically planned out. I had days where there was NOTHING for me to do but just relax. I cherish those days because now that I am getting older, those days will far, wide, and few in between! But I aint sweating the little stuff because this SCHOOL YEAR when I go back to college, I put on a whole new attitude on life. I WILL, no read my words I WILL BE accomplishing ALL OF MY GOALS AND STANDARDS I set for myself because there, I really only have myself to motivate me! I won't be this young forever and sometimes you have got to say to yourself either now or never. Well I don't know about when never is to come, but now is here so IMMA DO IT!

Today was a real rainy, cloudy day outside. So for the whole pratically I was inside with my campers, yeah a few times I was going to loose it, but I kept it togather. So later on in the day when the rain stopped, we (the girls) went outside to practice our step for the final show. Now remember what I told you all what happened the weekend past, and how devistated I was? Whelp, it was ALL erased with seconds of a text message! So aparently I was informed that my friend and her summer session buddies were having a recap the entire weekend! And of course that situation had to be brought up. Instead of the total disaster I thought it was, it ACTUALLY was kind of good. My friend told me he liked the fact that I was real and up front enough to comfront the incident as soon as I found out about it. That's why being true to who you are will never steer you wrong <3

Another one bites the dust

I bring to you all yet another story of DRAMA! Ok so this weekend, Friday, I went to my college to visit some of my friends from school. On Saturday, I was going to my Aunt's BBQ and I passed my school on the way there so I decided to stop by and see my friend from my dorm. So I get there and we are chatting you know catching up, so we decide to leave her room and see what's popp'in in the lounge. So we walk in and I saw two boys I knew from school and one newbie (freshman). As we were there talking and having conversation, one of the boys inparticularly popped out to me. No not because of his body, or clothes, or any of those things. It because of the way he talked. Not in a you know smooth, sexy, type way like he wanted to get the draws (even though thats how the newbie had like SUB-WOOFER BASS in his voice lol), but with articulation and intelligence. Like (un-like most boys I meet) he THOUGHT about what he was going to say before he said it. So Saturday hits, and I am gone with my family for the whole DAY! So on the way back I get word that SOME FOOL was trynna impersonate me and talk foolishness. Long story short, now I feel mad uncomfertable around him, which really stinks because I really wish I could get to know him better.

So, still Saturday night a lil party was going down in the lounge. It was real nice, dudes was playin cards, people was playing taboo, the slow/freak jamz was bumpin, the vibe was just right. And of course you know they had the liquor flowin. I don' drink so I was just sitting there chill'in having conversation. So a boy who I was just on my team playing taboo with, I guess had a few drinks cause when he came over and sat on the couch between me and the girl I was talking to, he started to TRY and get in my pants. I was laughing to hard in my head, cause he didn't lead into it just went straight for the gold. I was like naw imm V and my Aunt flow here. He was like he didn't care, plus he said he would eat. I THINK 'in whoa...TMI and no. So then I guess the liq was getting to him so he had to go pee. He had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to join him and "shake" it for him. LoL! When he asked me that I couldn't help but laugh in his face (then come to find he has a girl)

My First Ticket

So at 3:50pm today, I just receive my first speeding ticket ever! I AM SO LIVID! First off TWO cop cars stopped me. for what reason I don't know, I was scared they were gonna beat me up or something. So the guy says I was going 42 in a 25 BUT I WAS COMING OFF OF A BRIDGE! Fool! So he said my insurance was expired, but it wasn't. So now I have to pay $105 MY HARD EARNED CASH! And when I tell my dad about it, I'll admit he didn't FREAK OUT like I thought, but he kept LECTURING ME like he NEVER got one?

"I" act so whiny a a child? I mean every five minutes they have something to say, ask, or tell about! Half the time they can't remember what they were saying. LoL. But when it comes to THE EXTREME HEAT (OMGEE WAS IT HOT) we faced today at the baseball park, I rarely heard them complain? WHAT?! I guess in comfortable conditions its easier to waste energy on pointless blabber than in harsher ones!

R.I.P MICHAEL JACKSON

It took me till today to write this blog. Yesterday around 6:15pm EST the GREAT, MIRACULOUS, EXTRAORDINARY MICHAEL J. JACKSON passed away in Los Angles. He suffered from a heart attack, then went into cardiac arrest, then he fell into a comma, from there he passed away. Many people can say MANY THINGS about his personal life, but I'm here to focus on his MUSIC! This man has INVENTED a sound what we call POP today! He pioneered the Red Leather Jacket and Sparkly White Glove! He made it cool to wear High Water pants and a Jheri Curl! Moon Walking and Early Toe Wopping where dances WE ALL learned from him and him only! Period! HIT AFTER HIT THIS MAN PUT OUT! (even after he left his brothers) WHO ELSE COULD SPIN AROUND 3 TIMES, GRAB THEIR CROTCH, AND STAND ON THEIR TIPPY TOES and still be cool? Michael may have been A LOT of things, but one thing you CAN NOT DENY THAT HE WAS, he was a GREAT PERFORMER, AMAZING SINGER, and FABULOUS DANCER! So in conclusion...

R.I.P MICHEAL, HE WAS THE BAD, A SMOOTH CRIMINAL, IT DIDN'T MATTER IF HE WAS BLACK OR WHITE, HE ALWAYS GAVE US A THRILLER, MADE YOU REMEMBER THE TIME WHEN YOU FELL IN LOVE, HE TAUGHT ME MY ABC's, HE WANTED TO ROCK WIT YOU, AND MADE BILLIE JEAN (EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS A P.Y.T)....BEAT IT!! OK...so here is the scoop. Some RANDOM dude try and spit game to me of ALL PLACES....myspace right? So he gave me his number and like what 2 days later iTEXT him. So he trynna spit HEAVY game but I'm like chill iJUST started texting you AND I'm already talking to like 2 other people. He TRIED AND GIVE ME THE HEAVY MOUTH like what you mean you talking to other people when I'm trying to talk to you ...I SHUT THAT NIGGA DOWN QUICK...I was like I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU...and I'm am NO ONES GIRL I talk to who I want, when I want, and how I want with NO of your concern...he jump back into his place and was like....oh iKNOW iKNOW i was jus saying...yadda yadda yadda....ok so then the next day I'm on his myspace and it says he is in a relationship and his headliners is like "you and me babe forever" so iQUICKLY called dis nigga on it. He gone say oh...it's old iNEED to change it....so iWAS like w/e (OH yeah before iCONTINUE HE IS NO WHERE NEAR CUTE)....so then HE TEXTS ME AGAIN...so iENTERTAIN him with an answer and lil nigga slips up...he texts me on accident a msg saying HIS GIRL AND HIS FRIEND GIRL ARE GOING TO KFC...DUMBASS....so ONCE AGAIN iCALL him on it....dis fool gonna say my fault like a straight DUMMY! So the next day he texts me and was like whats up ....iWAS like look, we don't need to talk, you CLEARLY have a girlfriend and I'm bout to get serious with one of the ppl I am talking to. He was like whoa man why...I was like cause you trynna play ya girl...he was like naw man you gotta man soo...I said no no no boo-boo...I don't have a man...I will possibally have one soon...so his DUMBASS is like can we still be friend...I NEVA RESPONDED....so I just went on his page and guess who he put new pics up of??? HIM AND HIS GIRL!!! Kissing and all...AHAHAHAHA x-D

So yestuday was the graduation for the class of 09' at my college!! YAY FOR THEM BUT...WE THE BAND AND CHOIR (das me) HAD TO SIT IN THE FREAKING RAIN AND COLD!!!! We sat, got drenched, and was freezing, till the very end of the graduation. By the time it came time for us to sing...everyone left...even the administrators were leaving AS WE WERE SINGING! Plus we had to be there XTRA earl so no one ate till about 1pm...so from 8am-1pm we were hungry, tired, cold , and SOAKED it was so bad 3 ambulances had to carry away some people in the stands...SO UNCALLED FOR

THE TITLE SPEAKS FOR IT'S SELF!!! People where drunk and THE DJ WAS TRASH GARBAGE!!! BLOW'IN MINES ALL CRAZII!!! Like for real I'm so glad I got in for free.....

Where is the bus??

OK....Please sit back and let me tell you how my evening went. And oh trust everything you are about to read is fresh...it just happened minutes/hours ago. Ok so around 7:30pm (3/27/09) I, and my dorm mates, headed over to STEP CORRECT to get/save seats. When we arrived, it was still pretty bare so we found good ones. As more people came, to hold us over until the show started, the DJ started playing music. That was great! You got to see all the frats and sororities strolling! Well finally they started! WOW! Every D9 did a great job. DST,APhiA, KAPsi, and the Sigmas were exceptional! So after the competition (ended at around 10:26pm) I headed over to the flag poles to wait for the bus (by this time it was raining EXTREMELY HARD!) Sooo about 5 min later a guy (Ty who was throwing the party) comes over and says they are not letting the bus on our campus so we have to CROSS THE WET, SLIPPERY HIGHWAY to board the bus in the Best Buy parking lot. So ok fine, we ran across the highway and got on the bus.

On the way to the party was fine (except the ladies who had some pre-party drinks and were mad loud and cussing up a storm.) So we arrive EARLY and for this point on it seems like smooth sailing! More people start to pile in and yes IT BECAME UNBEARABLY HOT but in a good way. THE DJ WAS FROM JERSEY SO HE SHOWED JERSEY MAD LOVE!!! (The DJ's most of the time are from NY, no offense I love NY but it was nice to have the DJ be from my state and hearing it named sooo many times in a party for once.) Sorry I digress. So while in the party,I WAS HAVIES & TWERKIES ALL CRAZI! Wouldn't you know I was dancing with one boy so hard, THAT HE PELVIC THRUSTED ME and smashed me smack into the wall! It was clear who had broken who in that case. So after the regge portion of the party (around 1:30am) and I gave and recieved all dances from dudes, JERSEY CLUB CAME ON!!! MY SPEACIALTY! So after a acouple of swing dat' and d-mac'...toot that came on. Now this song is a song were you just let loose...So I did! In that process A SEXY SEXY SEXY SEXY SEXY...SEEEEEEEEEEXY young man from my campus started dancing wit me. It's funny becuase earlier tht morning, I was admiring him from a far in the cafe...but I digress again. While dancing to toot that, he come up behind me ( me not knowing it as him at the time) and he started go'ni in. So I'm think'in "Naw, I'm not gonan get broken...AGIAN" So I star go'in harder! Wouldn't you know is friend came in front of me, and they PICKED ME UP OFF THE GROUND!!! WHHHHHHHHHAT? I was like am I really suspened in the air right now? So when they put me down turned around to see who it was..and IT WAS HIM!?!?!?!? OF ALL PEOPLE! Needless to say i was exstactic and......so just overwhelmed with joy :-)!

So at this time its was maybe 1:47am...and the lights in the back of the party go on. I'm think'in "Ok who is fighting....damn!" But no fight....well at least not INside. Outside was whole different story. The veneue was filled to capcity so (450 people), they weren't letting anyone else in. It was packed yall. The DJ kept saying tell your friends to turn around because there was a long line still trying to get in. I guess people wasn't having that to they became beligerant and started going off. A this point the cops were notified and you ALL know what thats means...INSTANT SHUT DOWN!!! Dag... we just GOT HERE!!! The party isn't supposed to end till 3am and your telling me it shut down! YES! So everyone was forced to leave inside and out. (Its amazing just how many people were ACTUALLY in there...it seemed to on for ever) By this time (2:10am) cars are jammed up trying to leave and another altercation breaks out. All reslvoed. But wait...what about us that came on a bus? A lady officer SAID SHE WAS GOING TO GIVE A RIDE BACK TO CAMPUS, THEN RENIGGED ON HER WORD! She was such a renigger (no pun intended) So after I had some harsh words for her, the party planner (TY) said he caled the bus back to come get us. Good right? WRONG WRONG...HELLA WRONG! Ok first, it was cold as f**k outside...ITS SPRING TIME AND IT FELT LIKE MID-FALL! 2nd, We (black females) were just sweating up a strom and now were are forced to wait outside in a cold, damp, raining awning...can you say frizz? Then as we waited some loser rapper passed out his cd to us. WHAT!? He aint go head with all of that. After everyone left it was just us the bus people waiting. The stank owner woudln't even let us wait inside. All of about 14 peple couldn't not wait inside. STRAIGHT TRYFOLYN! We waited till about 2:55am...Finally the bus came! Now after all that, tha tjust happened, I'll be DAMNED IF I walk across the highway AGAIN to get back to my dorm.


But thank God the bus lady was nice and dropped us off at the side gate closer to my dorm. What a night huh? And you know the ONE thing out of all of this crazy mess that blows me...Ty had the NERVE to say....come back Mat 1st he is goning to be throwing another party...WHAT? Anyway, that was my night! Not enough hours in a day

So today is going to be a day when the ish hits the fan! FOR REAL! It seems like I have a million things to do for myself and also like 500 things to do for other people! Whoa! LET IT SNOW

So okay, last night THERE WA A HUGE SNOW STORM!!! We got about a good 1 1/2ft of snow! So around 11:00pm we (me and my first floor home girls) went out AND HAD A BALL! Snow ball fight to be exact. LoL We made snowballs, and snow angels, and just had fun taking pics in front of our dorm! Then we went to the dorms on the far side of campus AND WERE UNDER ATTACH!!!! They were coming for us each and every way. See so we came back even harder. It was just a all out good night last night! And today NO CLASSES!!! Man I love the snow!

So today I feel so much better! I am going to wash clothes and do homework. Well do a english essay, haha but yeah yesturday I went to a stroll compatition at my college. I had fun! It was great to see all the frats and soros stroll! Oh yeah and last night I went to a b-day party for a choir member. It was chill. She turned 21 so there was a lil goose to get you loose lol. So last night, I went over my big homies house to chill. It was about a strong 13 of us just chill'in. So yeah they were drinking and what not. I thought about but I neva did. SICK AS A DOG

So why it is that yesturday I woke fine and dandly, but today I wake up and I feel wretched? I feel awful. I can't breah, my head hurts, I can't talk, I stay coughing, and on top of all that, I'm cramping like crazy!!! Wow, I NEVER GET SICK!!!, but when I do, it its hard!

DRAMA (why....I couldn't tell you)

First let me start off by saying this...people (females) carry certain traits about them that seem to just cause...drama. We have attidues, we tend to cling on to people, and many more I could get into but alas I differ. Last night a situation occured in my life where a disagreement happened due to lack of communication and understanding. I was placed in a lose, lose situation when it came to a homie of mine and her ex. I understood the ramifictions of what was happening and I understood her point to me, but I don't think she (and other by-stander?) people in the room understood my point (accept for maybe 2). All I have to say in this instance is if I don't choose to tell people my business...so be it. I truly comprehend how that may look shady or what not but...oh well. If two people choose to talk (regaurdless of what time it is) as aquaintences, and they are their own person, answering to someone is not called for nor needed nor is neccessary. Me being cornered in a room and forced to give an answer was ridiculous. If you feel some way towards the situation when it first started to developed, you should have said something. People can't get mad at something someone else is doing, if you don't express your feelings. Assumtions can't be made in these instances. Direct conversation should have happened but, since it didn't here we are. Like I said, I hold no grudges towards anyone, I hold no hate (deff. NOT that) I just hope that what happened, happened and its left where it needs to be. IN THE PAST

Rough Day

Yesturday was a rought day for me. It seemed like one by one, my day got a little worse by the hour. Well it all started at 12 Noon when I recieved some awful news. I couldn't belive what was happening to me. I felt rage, sad, depressed, confused, hystarical, lost, and utter dismay. I came bac kto my dorm and kinda relieved from stress here. Although I wouldn't suggest hurling objects at a concrete wall. :-) But as of now I feel a tad-bit better...not really but oh well. Oh yeah, as if that wasn't enough, I had to resovle issue with Magnet (don't ask, they know who they are) because of some DRAMA!!! that happened that night. But anyway today is a new day and I just gotta deal.

Grammys & Late night chit chat

Well yestuday I didn't do much of anything. I did homework and wrote and essay. I WATCHED THE GRAMMYS!!! Congrats to all the winners! The the performances were great. I really loved the "swgga" performance, Stieve and the Jonas Bros, and T.I and Justin Timberlake. After I watch that, I got in bed and picked up where I lef off in this book called "The Coldest Winer Ever". So far so good. And then from around 2:30am-5:30am, I was on the phone. Don't ask me why...iight

I just got back in. I went to a movie night tonight in the guys dorm.....Had mad fun! I left to go do my radio show but the equipment wasn't working so I went back to the movie-thon.
